Is there an aspect, a recurring mark, that reveals a difference in the way that male and female architecture photographers see the world? This is, perhaps, one of those rhetorical questions often used as an argument to shed light on works produced by women and for which there is no precise answer.

Without claiming to offer an answer to this question—and in order to follow up on our first article that showcased a selection of women in architecture photography—we present here a new compilation of professionals who deserve attention for the quality of their photographic work

LECTURE AND WORKSHOP AT KEIO UNIVERSITY, JAPAN

Extremely happy and excited to have been invited by Jorge Almazán StudioLab at Keio University, Tokyo, as a guest speaker and teacher!

We have spent three days (May 19 to 21) learning about the basics of architecture and model photography through a series of lectures about masters Ezra Stoller, Julius Shulman and the role of photography today as well as hands on workshops where students have practiced the basics of lightning, shooting and postproduction.

Great learning, both for the students and for me!

INTERVIEW AT ARCHDAILY

archdaily interview montse zamorano

Feeling happy and extremely grateful to ArchDaily and Plataforma Arquitectura for including me in their 'Architectural Photographers series'.

This week in our Architectural Photographers series, we look at Spanish architect Montse Zamorano, who after living in Shanghai for a year decided to photograph architecture. She is currently based in New York, where she is studying for a Masters in Branding at SVA as a Fulbright student. Montse works internationally as a freelance photographer and videographer for studios such as Foster and Partners, Álvaro Siza and Héctor Fernández Elorza.

INCLUDED IN '10 FUNDAMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHERS' BY METALOCUS

So honored to have been included in '10 Fundamental Photographers. Onsite. Architecture', curated by METALOCUS about 10 Spanish current photographers.

"Her understanding and approach to photography are clearly influenced by her architecture studies (studies in all photographers are essential). She attempts to create a narration, a sequential process."

"Like all the selected photographers, technically impeccable, her youth turns into an explicit recognition and even more conscious acceptation of the new technologies and ways of representing the images using the new possibilities that technology offers"

José Juan Barba
